The Nevada-California Alumni Association recently volunteered at their Regional Convention, “Growing Together: Cultivating Community.”
During the convention the alumni launched one of their new 2026 campaigns by hosting the educational forum, “Stay Connected to PTK: Harvesting New Opportunities.” Participants were invited to take a survey to change their college email to a personal one and enter a drawing to receive one of five complimentary NCRAA memberships.
In conjunction with staying connected to PTK, the Alumni Association presented, “Start a New Crop” which focused on engagement with PTK after graduating or transferring from the two-year college. Although members are alumni of their PTK chapters when leaving their college, participation with PTK can continue with membership in a regional alumni association.
Brought back by popular demand, NCRAA Advisor William Dimopoulos presented to a full house. “Till, Plant and Harvest: Your Resources to Personal Financial Freedom.” This presentation focused on the importance of financial literacy, providing knowledge and insights about how to make informed decisions with budgeting, saving and investing.
Five colleges sponsored the conference and the alumni assisted with four different college fairs during the event.
“Alumni can help regional meetings flow smoothly — they are experienced, work hard without direct supervision, are welcoming to students, and enthusiastic,” said Nevada-California Region Alumni President Faustina Washburn. “Alumni can help fill in wherever needed.”
