The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Foundation announces the appointment of Dr. Monica Marlowe as Chair of its Board of Trustees. Dr. Marlowe brings nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, including more than a decade in advancement and fundraising.

A proud alumna of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Dr. Marlowe holds a Ph.D. in Community College Leadership, a master’s degree in education with an emphasis in English, and a bachelor’s degree in library science. As the former Executive Director of the PTK Foundation, she brings a deep understanding of the organization’s mission, vision, and purpose. Dr. Marlowe currently serves as Development Officer at Bellarmine University, where she continues to create opportunities for students.

“Monica’s historical knowledge and forward-looking vision will be instrumental as we continue to expand support for PTK members,” said PTK President and CEO Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner. “I look forward to working closely with her again and to partnering with her to strengthen the impact of the PTK Foundation.”

As Chair, Dr. Marlowe will lead the Board of Trustees in guiding the Foundation’s philanthropic vision, strengthening fundraising efforts, and ensuring continued opportunities for PTK members to thrive through scholarships and programmatic support.

“To return to the PTK Foundation in this capacity is deeply meaningful,” Dr. Marlowe said. “I am eager to work alongside the foundation staff and other trustees to find new ways to help PTK members achieve their goals and realize their potential.”
