Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation

When it comes to transforming student lives through scholarships, few organizations do it better than the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation (CCSF). The organization has impacted the lives of almost 7,000 community college students through more than $8 million in scholarships—and counting.

“For more than two decades, CCSF has redefined what is possible for community college students—not only providing financial aid, but also belief, recognition, and opportunity,” said PTK President and CEO Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner. “I’ve seen firsthand how the CCSF’s belief in student potential fuels transformation.”

Programs that Change Lives

What sets the CCSF apart is its strategic investment across key milestones in the community college journey—from a student’s first year through transfer to a four-year university. Each program is intentionally designed to remove barriers, reward hard work, and inspire leadership.

Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise

This signature program recognizes and empowers students early in their academic journey—those who have completed at least one semester with a GPA of 3.50 or higher. As one of the few scholarships available during the first year of college, it boosts confidence, fosters purpose, and encourages students to dream bigger. Beyond financial aid, it cultivates leadership and service—the heart of the PTK experience.

Coca-Cola Academic Team

Celebrating the top community college students in each state, this program awards national gold, silver, and bronze scholarships. But the impact extends beyond the recipients—nominees are honored at their state’s All-USA events, ensuring that thousands of students receive recognition for academic excellence. This visibility often unlocks further opportunity. For instance, All-Arizona Academic Team members earn full-tuition scholarships to Arizona State University, and in Missouri, the Community College Association awards $500 scholarships to each honoree.

Coca-Cola New Century Transfer Pathway Scholarship

Among the most prestigious honors in the nation for community college students, this scholarship recognizes the top-scoring transfer student from each state. Recipients are celebrated at the American Association of Community Colleges’ annual convention, where Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation representatives present the awards on a national stage—highlighting the incredible achievements of community college transfer students.

Beyond the Scholarship: A Ripple Effect

The results are extraordinary. According to the National Student Clearinghouse, 95% of Coca-Cola Scholars complete their degrees—more than three times the national average for community college students. But the true impact goes far beyond numbers. Recipients often describe their awards as life-changing. These scholarships don’t just help students finish college—they help entire families and communities thrive. Many Coca-Cola Scholars continue to give back through leadership, volunteerism, and service, embodying the same values that helped them succeed.
